Should You Be Taking That Supplement?

The world of nutrition is confusing. Every day the 'rules' seem to change.

Not only do most people struggle around what foods they should be eating, but supplements can be even more daunting.

Have you ever walked down the supplement aisle at Whole Foods? Where do you even begin? And outside of Whole Foods, there's an even wider range of supplements to choose from....so many different companies, brands, and products.

So what to do?

When I was chronically ill several years ago, Functional Medicine Doctors and Holistic Practitioners would give me supplements to take that were supposed to help. Unfortunately, every single time I would get worse and worse. When this would happen, I had several practitioners get angry with me because they couldn't figure out why nothing was working.

Let me tell you why it wasn't working: it's because the supplements I was taking were not right for ME. My body is tricky. It doesn't follow the rules. And it screams and yells if something is not right. And just because something is right for someone else (or even the majority of people) does NOT mean it's right for you.

And then there are some people who can take supplements and eat foods that aren't the best for them and not notice....until years down the road and symptoms (that we typically associate with aging) start to appear.

Because of all of this, I was hesitant for years to recommend supplements to clients, knowing just how tricky the process can be to find the right ones. But taking the right ones can be a life-changer.

I was determined to find a way to figure out what my body (and my clients' bodies) needed without relying on a professional (or expensive lab tests) to help do it. To give freedom in life and in body. And now, my mission is to help each of you discover this same freedom. To always have a tool and the ability to tap-in to your own body and figure out immediately what it needs, or doesn't need. With food, with supplements, and with much, much more.

In Heart & Soul Nutrition for a Freedom-Filled Life, we will begin to explore what this all means, and how by tapping-in to the energy/vibration of our own bodies and then that of supplements, foods, etc. we can figure out what is best for us, or not so good for us using one simple little trick.
